STUCK DOWN THE WRONG RABBIT HOLE

I'm falling down, I've had enough
this rabbit hole has got me stuck.
A flickering light, about to to die
when it gives out, so will I.
The crawling's now, no easy task
& when the light goes out at last
I can tell but I can't see
the rabbit standing next to me.

I'm running now, but off the path
frantically searching for my way back.
Now am lost, and loosing hope
and feel the breathing of something close.
Must escape, go far from this
but I'm traveling deep in a dark abyss.
