DESPERATELY TRYING

Never fears at home when he is with me
That is where he told me where he loved me
Leaving me desperately trying to understand

Desperately trying to find a home for him to move to
Desperately trying to find a place for us to stay
Said he never really got through to me
That I never opened up emotionally
Guess I kind of lost my trust on the way

Since he is gone I'm sinking
Sinking deeper into who I really am
Now I'm brave enough to show what's inside
But it's too late

Sad he'd never loved me
That he always stopped for his feelings to grow
And I went and hope and hope for things to change
Since he is gone I keep on finding out
All these little things about him
Realized in fact that he was always there without (?)
